The Idea
Two overlooked stories, brought together.
Every year, extraordinary emerging artists leave universities with remarkable talent and few opportunities to be discovered. At the same time, communities around the world are waiting for projects that could meaningfully change everyday life. We believe those two stories belong together.
The Award is a national open call to BFA and MFA students and recent graduates of accredited colleges, universities, and art schools. An independent jury of accomplished artists, curators, gallerists, and museum and academic leaders selects twenty exceptional emerging artists to exhibit during Miami Art Week — a real credential, and a genuine path from the campus studio to a national stage.
