IAP Arts & Impact Event Fellowship 2026

The IAP Arts & Impact Event Fellowship 2026 is an inaugural experiential learning program presented by the International Art Project Foundation (IAP) for college students and recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience within the nonprofit arts sector.
The Fellowship provides participants with real-world experience in arts administration, event production, community engagement, communications, public programming, and gallery operations while working alongside IAP staff, artists, curators, nonprofit professionals, and community leaders.
Unlike a traditional internship, the Fellowship is centered around IAP’s signature public
programs and events during the fall and Miami Art Week.

The Fellowship is designed for college students and recent graduates interested in fields
including:
– Art History
– Arts Administration
– Museum Studies
– Nonprofit Leadership
– Communications
– Public Relations
– Marketing and Social Media
– Community Engagement
– Event Production
– Related arts and cultural fields

Applicants should demonstrate professionalism, reliability, strong communication skills, and an interest in gaining meaningful experience within Miami’s arts and nonprofit community.

Applicants must:
– Be 21 years of age or older
– Currently reside in Miami-Dade County
– Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or have graduated within the past two years
– Have reliable transportation to and from the IAP Gallery in Miami Beach
– Be available for the mandatory in-person orientation and all required Fellowship dates
– Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills

Applicants to the 2026 Emerging Artist Impact Award are not eligible to participate in the Arts
& Impact Event Fellowship during the same program cycle.

– November 30, 2026 — Emerging Artist Impact Award Opening Reception
– One additional day during Miami Art Week, December 1–6, 2026

The additional Miami Art Week date will be coordinated with selected Fellows based on Foundation needs and Fellow availability.

Yes. All selected Fellows and Reserve Fellows are required to attend the full in-person orientation on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM at the IAP Gallery & Impact Lobby in Miami Beach.

The orientation will introduce participants to IAP’s mission and programs, Fellowship expectations, professional conduct, event procedures, guest engagement, safety protocols, individual responsibilities, and day-of-event roles.Participants will also receive a walkthrough of the IAP Gallery and Impact Lobby before the first Fellowship event.

Fellows will gain hands-on experience supporting IAP’s public programs and events.

Responsibilities may include:
– Welcoming visitors and assisting with guest registration
– Scanning tickets and tracking event attendance
– Supporting event logistics and operations
– Assisting with guest flow and visitor engagement
– Capturing photography and video content for social media
– Sharing information about IAP’s mission, programs, and initiatives
– Assisting with exhibition and gallery activities
– Supporting gallery operations during Miami Art Week
– Providing general support to the Operations Manager and Foundation staff

Assignments may vary by event and according to organizational needs.

The Fellowship is designed to provide meaningful professional development and real-world exposure to nonprofit arts operations.

Upon successful completion of the Fellowship, participants will receive:
– An Official Certificate of Completion from the International Art Project Foundation
– A personalized Letter of Recommendation recognizing their professionalism, reliability, and contributions to the Foundation
– Professional mentorship
– Hands-on nonprofit arts administration and event experience
– Networking opportunities with artists, curators, donors, nonprofit professionals, and community leaders
– Meaningful résumé-building experience

No. The IAP Arts & Impact Event Fellowship is an unpaid professional development and experiential learning opportunity.

IAP will provide parking reimbursement or parking validation, when available, and meals during full Fellowship event days.

IAP anticipates selecting six (6) Fellows and two (2) Reserve Fellows for the inaugural 2026 cohort.

Reserve Fellows will participate in the mandatory orientation and may be called upon to support Fellowship activities as needed.

Reserve Fellows are selected members of the Fellowship cohort who complete the mandatory orientation and are prepared to participate if additional event support is needed or if a selected Fellow becomes unavailable.

Reserve Fellows remain part of the inaugural Fellowship cohort and may be offered opportunities to participate in additional IAP programming based on organizational needs.

No. Applicants do not need to be art majors.

IAP welcomes students and recent graduates from a range of academic disciplines, particularly those interested in arts administration, nonprofit leadership, communications, public relations, museum studies, art history, community engagement, event production, and related fields.

Previous professional arts experience is not required.

Applicants should demonstrate a genuine interest in learning, professionalism, reliability, communication skills, and a willingness to contribute as part of a team.

Previous volunteer, customer service, hospitality, event, nonprofit, communications, or
community engagement experience may be beneficial but is not required.

Applicants are not required to own a vehicle; however, Fellows must have reliable transportation to and from the IAP Gallery in Miami Beach for the orientation and all required Fellowship activities.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation.

Applicants who have applied or intend to apply to the 2026 Emerging Artist Impact Award are not eligible to participate in the Arts & Impact Event Fellowship during the same program cycle.

This separation helps maintain the independence and integrity of both programs.

Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee selection.

Applicants selected to participate in the inaugural Fellowship cohort will be notified by email following the application review process and prior to the mandatory orientation on September 12, 2026.

Further onboarding instructions will be provided to selected Fellows and Reserve Fellows.

Selected Fellows and Reserve Fellows will receive onboarding information and instructions for the mandatory in-person orientation.

Participants will be expected to complete any required Fellowship onboarding materials and attend the full orientation before participating in IAP events.

Attendance at the mandatory orientation and required Fellowship events is an essential component of the program.

Applicants should only apply if they can commit to the required dates listed above. Fellows should promptly communicate any unexpected emergency or unavoidable circumstance to IAP staff.

Successful completion of all Fellowship requirements is necessary to receive the Official Certificate of Completion and personalized Letter of Recommendation.

The Fellowship is designed as an experiential learning and professional development opportunity and does not automatically provide academic credit.

Students interested in receiving internship, service-learning, or other academic credit should consult with their college or university regarding institutional requirements.

IAP may provide reasonable program documentation when appropriate; however, approval of academic credit is determined solely by the student’s educational institution.
